it's a bootable version of linux (still none the wiser ?) (or should I say it's a version of linux that loads from a bootable CD meaning you don't have to install it on your harddisk)

It works fine abit sluggish at times, depends on what speed you drive is, as for devices, I could use scanner, printer, webcam, all the usual stuff.
