nudge for start of so called 'protest' Think that was blown all out of proprtion, as usual. Now the bloke is saying its the Governments fault for saying they may ration petrol. No wonder there is 'panic buying'. Vikki xx |

This situation is getting well out of hand, isn't it. I tried to go shopping earlier to Tesco. The 'powers that be' here in Kent have closed off the roundabout about half a mile from Tesco, have diverted all traffic at least 3 miles towards Dover to get to Tesco (and other shops) via another route and that is also now totally blocked. I only wanted some veg and bathroom cleaner for goodness sake LOL On the way back home, actually did go to a garage, which wasn't totally packed and filled up. While I was in there waiting to pay no less than 3 people got just over £5 worth of fuel. These are the idiots causing the problems. I just can't understand their logic, if logic is involved that is; it must cost them a fiver to get from home to the garage and back so why would they do this. Totally gobsmacked!! Jan xx |

I was shopping at my local Morrisons this afternoon (St Helens) and they were queing up for petrol there. Morrisons had some of their workers directing traffic into the garage. |

Well folks, we still have police AND security letting people in and out of Tesco. Not sure about Morrisons but would think they either ran out or have security and/or police like Tesco. Asda ran out last night. Most only have diesel left. Cant believe what the County has turned into. A woman had to be restrained apparently by police BEFORE the petrol staff even got into work! Sad sad sad........ Vikki xx |

have just been back to petrol station I went to last night (I went on an emergency milk run at 8.30pm) Last night it was chaotic - the station has two entrances - one off a main road and one off a side road - and one exit only . The one on the side road is to go in and out of. The queue to the side entrance was about twenty cars - some on the right side of the road and some queuing on teh other side (i.e. turning in). It was mayhem on the forecourt as instead of being sensible and using the exit only people were attempting to go out of the side entrance which was blocked up with cars. Only three pumps had any fuel left. The garage is one of those tesco metro things - but instead of thinking 'we nee dto get people thu the pumps asap' and therefore opening onde till for petrol only - the people were having to wait in huge queuees of shoppers. Unsurprisingly I just drove by again and there's no fuel left at all. In their second bout of idiocy they haven't bothered putting a sign up to tell people this. I spoke to the security guard last night (initially it was because people were driving over the pavement to get in - not realising that in some points the pavement is actually a foot high wall on the forecourt side - and ignoring the pedestrians in the process) and he said he wasnt allowed to shut entrances off and make people go in one way and out the other, despite the fact this would have stopped people pushing into queues when they realised the pump they were heading for had no petrol. I drove past an Esso on the way home now that still has petrol there and although the actual queuing to get in it was minimal it was jutting out on to a one lane bit of the road, leading up to a roundabout that comes off the motorway. the tailback was about two miles in one direction and out onto the roundabout, across it, right round it and onto the slip road in the other. Blooming insanity Z |

I went out this morning for petrol, Asda had a Q going out onto the road, so gave up and went to Tesco, where it was much the same, but joined the end as I was driving on fumes, Tonight, son went out to get some, Asda and Tesco have closed, No Petrol. Should have driven up to Joy's if she has no problems, it's only about 5 miles away! Suex |

Passed three petrol stations on way home from work this afternoon long queues at all of them. Had to drive to Folkestone tonight managed to fill up on M20 99.9p litre. Man in front of me filled up his van, then filled 6 jerry cans, is that stock piling or what? Sue |
