Paul, At least I don't get confused about who you are now. When I first joined this Board a year ago, there were two or three Pauls knocking about, and I could never tell which was which, then Postie joined as well, so there was a full house. Now that WAS confusing! Have you read what I said on Lynda's thread? Let me know what you think. CB >|<

Cheeky Pinksaharasmiff Pineapple Chunky Paul , Kettle and pot spring to mind! LOL I've suggested a possible solution to nasty name-changers on Lynda's thread. I'd be interested in what you (and others) think. CB >|< (aka last night's ~~~Rasperry Ripple~~~)

maybe we should let gr decide.in all fairness people should be able to change names and gr could detect them from their membership number.to me if people can use other names on other numbers or hack into other peoples details then gr should look long and hard about the security side of itxx))):

As said on the other threads Everyone knows how I feel about name change (after being on the recieving end of people changing their names) Its not funny anymore. Ok change your name for a theme thread, but sign your name at the end of the posting. Then revert to your normal name to answer other threads. Trouble is people change their name every few weeks on the boards and keep that name for a few weeks, then suddenly become someone else (in theory) leading to confusion and distrust.. Elaine aka Harlowgirl...But you can call me Mildred if you want..... Elaine x

well,i'me always me,but i do enjoy the harmless fun threads,as you can join in,without anyone being offensive. a couple of years ago,i did join in the 'utopia' thread,as 'nurse gladys emanuel' and really enjoyed it. on the odd occasion, that people have changed their name,to cause trouble, they usually do it,by starting their own thread,or by joining in,and being abusive on a serious thread. fun threads are the backbone, that holds this board up,long may they continue...when i asked last night, who a certain person was,i was told within five minutes...fair play! bryan.

right, back for a few minutes. Sorry to stir things up, but like Maz earlier, it needed to be said. Let me say for the record I'm not totally against name changes, I did it myself last night when we all got a bit fruity (lol) but I think most people would have known it was me still - I always sign off, or have in my board name 'Paul' so its obvious it's me. Have nothing wrong with having a laugh - BUT its got to the point where I don't both reading most of the threads, because I don't have a clue whats going on. Judging by the other threads from Maz and Pat today, it's not just me - I know quite a few are unhappy about it. Those that disagree with me - I won't try and change your mind, we'll just agree to differ :)

The Bag

The Bag Report 16 Sep 2005 14:40

Last night there was a whole crowd- me included- that changed their name for a particular reason, most of whom- i think- have changed back now. I kind of regret changing 'Jess bow bag coconut kumquat satsuma dog' didn't have that same ring to it, it served its purpose and had no malicious thought anywhere near. Surley -''i'm confused ,who were you ?'' would help with this situation even if the new name bod PM'd the requester? jess x
