No I'm not. As with every year my door is locked, letterbox taped up and poster in the window stating i am not answering the door. Sounds mean but you haven't seen the horror's that visit round here!!!!

Well I'm feeling a bit sad now. All the kids in our area have gone home now and it's all finished. Every single one of them said thank you, and not one 'hooligan' among them. I've run out of kids visiting me before I've run out of treats. Anyone want a lollipop?? Dianne xx

Not being funny, but watch the peanuts with the little ones - they're dangerous whole for the under 5s. Angela :)

Yes and No ! Thoroughly sick of jumping up and down to the door for the last 2 hours. Must have given to 2 dozen kids . Do you think they keep coming back when they get fed? It's hard to tell, one witch or skeleton looks very much like another in the dark. Have turned all the lights off and have come up to my Pc for a bit of peace and quiet (Ihope) Paula.

YES! we live in a fairly small community and the kids are great really (well about 95% of them lol) With being involved in various activities in the village their parents know that we have things for the kids - have had about 10 in total so far all dressed up and all saying thank you

Nope. If people want to celebrate Hallowe'en with their children, they should take them to a fancy-dress party. If I had a sign, it would read: 'Run to the strange man, children, and take his sweeties'.

I'd never experienced a full blown American trick or treat until we got our own house. In my city it's very heavily regulated for the safety of all involved. If you're going to participate you leave your porch lights on, if your house is dark, the kids don't come and knock. The city 'emergency siren' sounds at 6pm on the dot, that's the signal for the kids that they can start, it sounds again at 7pm to signal the end of the fun. After 7pm, no children under the age of 12 are allowed out on the streets. It's a very frenetic hour, but a lot of fun, we have 32 houses in our 'sub division', and the only people who come round are the kids of the families who live here. Although tonight we have other plans, so we won't be participating. Brenda

For the first year NO. Will most probably get eggs thrown at the house but we got that last year even though we had given treats. Jean x.

had a friend once who decided to get even . carefully unwrapped Ferrero Rocher, scoffed the chocolate and re-filled the wrappers with brussell sprouts and handed then out at the door! Jess

Well I've had 3 lots round so far (10 children in all) and everyone of them had dressed up. They received 3 sweets each (Heroes) and all said thank you. One lot even sang a song which I've never had before - I don't mind the little ones. Had to laugh last night as there was a knock on the door and I ignored the first 2 knocks - then changed my mind but they'd disapperared from the door and when I opened it I just heard 'Happy Halloween' from the distance - slammed the door shouting it's not Halloween yet!
