Why not compromise and have one as a first name and the other as a middle name :) ps - Tracy's not a bad name! :)

I know where you are coming from. I liked the name Tia since i was about 7 and i wasn't changing my mined. So we decided that if we had a boy my B/F would pick his name and if we had a girl i would. We now had 1 of each.

Stephanie

Stephanie Report 15 Nov 2005 09:29

rod funny you should say that was talking to a neighbour yesterday and apparently there was a family round here and the mother wanted a daughter and kept trying. ended up with 7 sons. last one was called Seven as he was the 7th son of the 7th son of the 7th son. Glad it wasn't me. Steph When they are born whatever name you have may not suit. Hubby said we would call a son Rupert my response was not on your life I grew up with Rupert Bear and it reminded me of that, still not sure if he was joking or not. Don't argue lifes too short and you may not have children so would of been a waste of an argument. Enjoy the making up

When I was expecting our first, we decided that I would choose the girl's name and he would choose the boy's name, and vice versa for the middle name. Then we had an equal chance of the final decision, with no argument. Mind you, we did wait until we were expecting before discussing it! I had a very good friend who was adamant from a very early age that she would have a boy named Thornton and a girl named Jemima. She now has one child, she is called Eleanor thank goodness! Liz
