Michele, Be forewarned and be forearmed.........prepare to get hooked, prepare to spend more cash than you can possibly imagine, but most of all, prepare to enjoy every minute of it. I have done about nine to date for my grandchildren, one son and myself............it's extremely addictive, but then you will be used to that lol. Lin

Hi fellow crafters - if any of you live near a POUNDLAND store - they have scrapbook sets for £1 - the very same ones in my local craft shop selling for at least £10!

Hi Another happy scrapper here :) I started a very basic scrapbook when I was at university in the USA as it's massive over there. I started again last year but haven't completed too many pages yet - I'm more addicted to buying supplies :) I went back to the States last summer to visit my old friends and must have brought a full suitcase of scrapbook materials back. So yes it's addictive and can be expensive :) Lots of my friends at church are into scrapbooking too so we have started getting together one friday, during the day, a month and all bring our 'stuff' along. One lady has a sizzix machine and TONS of dies and lets everyone use them. So if anyone can get to Wakefield during the day on a Friday (usually 1st Friday of month) let me know and you can come join us :) Joanne

I love scrapbooking and card making, but it's very addictive, and you need lots of storage space. lol! Scrapbooked pages can be a work of art. Much more pleasurable to look at than albums of sticky pages with photos all in neat rows. And a great gift idea. I made an album for a friends wedding anniversary, incorporating scraps of fabric from the wedding and bridesmaid dresses, place cards, invitations, gift tags etc. Just be sure that anything the photos come into contact with in the album is acid free. Rebs x ps, for anyone who does paper toll, now is a good time to stock up on those packs of xmas cards that have a number of cards with the same print. This year I actually remembered myself. lol!!!

Thanks for that Mandy will take a look. I've already made a start printing off copies of my old photographs and have made a few notes of things to copy and use. Will scan gt grandads christening cert and scan & copy birthday cards gt grandad sent to gt nan saying how much he still loved her after so many years. I was having trouble thinking of things to use when i started this thread but now all sorts of things are coming to mind so thanks to you all of you for your ideas & suggestions if anyone thinks of any good ones may i suggest we add them here for us all to share Looks like we're all going to be keeping very busy this year.
