don't forget that sometimes you have to wait for another borrower to return a book - sometimes all copies in your area are out on loan at the same time! Ann - I am getting a foretaste of your review from that comment lol - think we will differ again!! Maz. XX

Hi Thanks to you all for the warm welcome :) Yes Maz, I was Joanne Brown (well, still am in real life :) ) but thought it sounded a little boring so decided to change my name for the new year, although in a few months it will seem a little old! I'll have to make a visit to the library to find one or more of the books to read. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks for pulling up old threads with reviews. Will have a read and see how you write them - plus it might give me ideas of other books to read :) Joanne

Helen and Joanne, welcome, the more the merrier. We normally have the top two books that are voted for but this time because maybe some people don't like dickens we have three. You can choose to read one, two or three of them. I will pull up the previous review thread so that youc an see how we review. Very basic, not clever reviews. (Unless is is Maz explaining to me what a book was all about). Ann glos

Hi Joanne - you are MORE THAN WELCOME !!! Yep, just read one or more of those top 3 books and then on 27th Ann or Dee or Mike will add a thread for reviews (doesn't have to be fancy, just look at my ones lol) and we all put what we thought of the one(s) we read. After that we all have a chance to suggest books for next month and vote on them, then start again. Nice to have you with us! Maz. XX ps did you have another name before or are you new??!!

Hi I've just found this thread about your book readers club and want to know if I can join you??? I think it's a great thing to do! If so, do I have to read one of the top 3 listed books before the due date of 27 Jan? Joanne

FINALLY got Linnet Bird, so can get on with that in a couple of days. Couldn't believe it, but my library has 2 copies of Hard Times - both out - and NO copy of My Cousin Rachel!! Ordered both, will have to see what I decide when they arrive! Ooooh poetry - yes I think he has avoided it long enough lol - something varied though like Nation's Favourite, or Poems on the Underground. Whaddya think Mike, prepared to give it a go??!!! Maz. XX
