My views are the same as Andy's on this one. I have no interest in an awful lot that others find fascinating. I'd be glad to learn that Saddam had met a fate deemed to be appropriate by those who are trying him by the laws of his and their country. After all, they are the people who were forced to endure his reign of terror, so they are in the best position to judge. As far as I'm concerned, those who 'live by the sword' should be prepared to die by it. CB >|<

I'm still traumatised by the cat I saw get knocked over a couple of months ago, so I don't think I could watch a human being get killed!

I'm the same as Forgetmenot Blue - I watched the executions of three hostages last year (someone in the office called it up on the net - I wouldn't have known where to start to look (nor really would I have been bothered to search). My attention was called to is, and I watched - even though I knew it was horrific. It was actually quite unemotional (if that's the correct word) and clinical - probably I thought that because I have seen far far worse on films on the telly and at the cinema in the name of so-called entertainment. To see an execution taking place in reality is entirely different - I dont think I would have the stomach for it - I cannot abide seeing anyone have an injection - so it's unlikely I would choose to view in any closer quarters than a VDU screen. Morbid curiosity being what it is, no doubt any execution of a major tyrant like Saddam will draw a large audience. I dont actually need to see it performed to agree that it needs to be carried out.
