Paul, I'm glad I'm not alone. It tends to be film themes that stick at the top of the charts that get on my nerves the most, especially the sloppy ballads. It's very rare for that type of song to grab my interest. Not enough NOISE! LOL I love certain film themes to death - mainly instrumentals though - lots of the old Western film themes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Great Escape, Magnificent 7, etc. Another one that became really annoying was 'Love is All Around', when 4 Wedding & a Funeral was out. Loved the film, but the song drove me mad - especially as my husband liked it, so I got the Troggs version as well. CB >|< X |

Hi Daisy Went to see him a couple of years ago - absolutely brilliant! I have been a massive fan of his since i first saw him on TOTP in the early eighties. 'Where Angels Fear To Tread ' is my favourite slow one. But I love all his stuff. Aside from that its metal and rock music for me. Vikki xx |

going back to CB's earlier comments... I too find myself going off songs that are overplayed. I'd agree with everything on your list (although in some cases not JUST for that reason - Celine Dion for instance - yuck !). Apart from Staying Alive. Quite like that. But then I wouldnt have been listening to the radio much when it came out, as I was about 7 I think lol Paul x |

That reminds me, had my grandson over the other day (1 and a bit) and he saw BA's CD. He started pointing at Bryan and saying 'Dad, Dad'. I wish he was my SIL!! |

lol Nana......my brother in law is in the music industry and had a show on with a guy called Randy Travis who is a good friend of Bryan Adam's apparently....anyway I went along to see the show and when the house lights went up my brother in law came to the front to get me and Bryan Adams was sitting 6 seats away from me....they were all talking shop on our way back stage and so I kinda tagged on with Bryan and had a wee blether to him!!!! Got my pic taken with him too!!! This was around 1988 I think! |
