apparently they were all lovely in there. she couldn't sleep last night because the lady in the next bed had a cough and she was hungry at 2am (only had a sandwich after her op yesterday evening). One of the auxhilaries got her some cheese and biscuits to eat. Len, when were you Fire chief there? Ann glos

Hope Rosemary has a complete recovery, sending best wish's. I'm ex navy and worked at Haslar, not medical ,I was the Fire Chief, in actual fact I've just had my knee done there, great place! but altho. the Portsmouth Health Trust cant do without the place, their still intent on closing it down. I've been told by someone high up in the Trust that even if the place at Cosham is enlarged it still wont be big enough. There been some marvelous work done there in the past and the Hospital has been with us since 1744, I just hope someone has the sense to keep it going. Len Ex Navy

This is what Rosemary said when i sent her the list Thank you - that's absolutely wonderful! All those people thinking of me - brilliant! I've had two cards, one e-card, and four phone calls today, so that was nice as well. Not feeling too bad at the moment. Feels a bit like a dream actually! A bit unreal. Trying to pretend, as I pack Ann Glos
