OK, I know you're probably all bored of this now, but I just thought I'd let you know that ebay have confirmed that they DID get a complaint about my 'absolutely nothing' and 'almost absolutely nothing' auctions. No doubt the same person who used to complain about my balloon race threads on here. They (ebay) maintain they were right to remove them, so I can't argue the point anymore, although I've made it clear I disagree with them, and that they and the mystery complainer are depriving the charity of funds. I'll just find another amusing scam to put on there. Then we'll see whether my 'fan' can find something in those to complain about.

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:04

Oh Paul some people must lead very sad lives, surely it wasn't the same person who did the complaining on here? I can't believe the extremes people will go to. Chin Up Paul. Pat x

exactly. I'd said all along that someone was complaining about the balloon race threads, as they vanished as quickly as I could raise them. so it didn't really come as a surprise to find ebay had 'acted on the complaints of another member'. Ho Hum.

No surprise there then Paul - what a disappointing life this pathetic complainer must have. Daisy

it's OK, I'll get the better of them in the end. Would love to know who it is though

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:11

Well if you persist then that will annoy them and that may cause them to slip up. I don't understand how a complaint by someone can get you deleted on Ebay unless you break the rules and their rules are very hard to break as they seem very lenient. I understand its easier to break the rules on here :-( Pat x

Unknown Report 26 Jan 2006 22:14

Pat, the rule I broke was offering something 'intangible' for sale - ie nothing. The fact that I offered a specific item, with 'nothing' as an option, was still enough to break the rules in their eyes. I'll find a way round.

Unknown

Unknown Report 26 Jan 2006 22:22

While you are selling dust Paul, can you sell cobwebs as well? If so I have a few you can have Dee ;-))

Pat

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:31

I can oblige with the dust too lol. Paul can you not auction a mention ? If it's for CRUK anyone that bids on your Auction is bidding on a mention for the next one which is a penny auction and that the one that mentions the list of the winners (ebay names only of course) Surely that isn't breaking any rules, you are offering something. Many times I have seen people put auctions up for a penny asking people not to bid. Someone I know did this to wish all the people who buy from him a Happy Christmas etc., but more times I have seen people putting these up offering bootleg CD's :-( which is supposed to be against Ebay rules. I have only ever reported people selling LIVE animals on Ebay I have never even reported the bootleggers :-( Hope that all makes sense lol Pat x

Pat I think I know what you mean, BUT sicne i'm not slling an actual item with that, someone could still complain and get it removed. Daisy - plenty of dust here already thanks :o)

Pat

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:50

Not fair thought I had a good idea lol. How do others get away with it? How about bidding on emails??? trying to think of anything that costs YOU nothing but gives the complainer to Ebay nothing to report you for :-((( Pat x

Unknown Report 26 Jan 2006 22:51
