William , Agnes, James and George!!! Has anyone else noticed tho the trend for different names within the last say 2 generations......On mums side, all her brothers and sisters had fairly traditional names........along my own generation you can see some changes in naming patterns and from the oldest thru to the youngest some more unusual names appearing.....then in my childrens generation some very unusual names indeed!!

Some of the older names are often nicer, but I do like many of the more modern names, at least we have a lot more choice these days..........as long as they're not too outlandish. Can't stand it when some people insist on calling their poor unsuspecting children after ridiculously named pop or soap stars. Lin xx
