Granpa Jim Good idea !!! So lets support the war on Iraq , peers for cash, taxing the working people to death, crippling the car owner, the house owner, lets kill off the pensioner, charge well over and above what is due for death duty, make it virtually impossible to allow young people on the housing ladder (far too middle class),oh kill off the credibility of the house of lords (too aristocratic), refuse to dissuade wife from curtseying to every single other head of state other than her own, and give her a ridiculously healthy living by bringing in the dead duck human rights bill (that will pay Blairs mortgages) allow the country to be swamped by greedy immigrants, agree with hollow promises regarding education and NHS reform and maybe, just maybe that little weasel and his hoofing great oaf of a side kick will disappear in a puff of smoke...........oh if only. But it was fun thinking they would while it lasted Jim !!!!!!!!!! I know there's more but it's late and they make me too angry :0) |

If Mickie Mouse was elected - to this or any position in higher authority certainly in politics - he would begin to change his views and look after himself and stash the cash! As for the pensioners who are on a fixed income but who have little or no control over utitlitiy bills/rates etc etc and ask them what do they think of the Labour Party - even in the seventies - it was not there for the working man. As to Gordon Brown - immediately Labour went into power - their mini budget withdrew the tax relief from private medical insurance for the over 60's and wondered why NHS waiting lists went up. Then if someone had a small amount of shares and did not pay tax they could no longer reclaim tax paid on their dividends. Our rates alone have nearly doubled since labour came in. Ann |

Why are we going as far back as the miners Jean? It's long long over. Really too far back to mention now. I don't mind discussing anything within the last 15 years and that certainly doesn't fall into that category. Ken Livingstone. Please please don't start me on him. Lives in Brighton, dictates London. Like it matters to him. Congestion charge yet another tax on the motorist. Typical socialist strategy. Tax the up and coming pay the scrounger. Bus lanes all over London that don't work BECAUSE BUSES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE.(and too carelessly run by.................Red Ken himself) London Underground. Ken came in and said it would never be privatised.............my husband used to work for them and the private partnership is just kicking in there now. Massive spending cuts, huge rises for the commuter what suffers? SAFETY not just for the commuter but all the employees of London Underground itself. It's an accident waiting to happen. Ken Livingstone is a menace. Always was bad new always will be. Feels he can call people whatever HE wants politically incorrect or otherwise , someone else disagrees with him and they are facists. Guy is an idiot. Please do not get me started on TB or GB. |

Iamnothere... you obviously do not know the same miners as I do who blame the Nottinghamshire miners for formimg a break away union and dividing the mining community. After saying that I would not wish to see any man having to earn a living by going down the pits. Jean. |
