Yeah Pink, I remember walking around Durham March last year and Jenny saying I want to do something worthwhile, maybe a relay passing a baton or something around Britain----I thought she must be mad and how is it going to work. And then someone came up with the idea of a Pink Teddy Bear---can't remember who it was. I don't think any of us could begin to wonder how much time this would take to co-ordinate,but it's happening and been successful.

It was a privilege - embarrassing, but still a privilege - to have coffee with Gaynor Bear and Viv in Hitchin. nell

Ann, I am so proud of Jenny its untrue and I think she should really consider doing fundraising for a charity when it finishes too as the ideas are the hardest thing to come up with!! Just think how many mini GB's there are in the world too!! :O) And Helen.... I had to travel on a train from Slough to Newcastle to meet a load of nutters with GB to set her off on her travels, so I know what you mean about 'embarrassing' :O) xx

I supose really we should say the 23rd of April is GBs birthday, after all she took on a life of her own from this day. People around here were quite taken aback because I insisted on refering to GB as her & not it. It caused a bit of confusion at times with people wondering to whom I was refering. lol Vivienne

Ann, Just seen this thread seems unbeliveable that 23rdApril Last year we were all in Newcastle having a great time at the send off for Gaynor Bear. My baby GB goes to all the places I take her ie Whitby,Fleetwood/Cleveley last Monday and Tuesday she loves travelling round the country with me. Must have got the travel bug off her Mum Gaynor Bear. Well done Jenny for coming up with such a brilliant idea. Well done to everyone for all your effort with Gaynor Bear. Sue

Happy Anniversary GB! We had such a great time - I reckon you should go round again LOL Mini bear travelled New Zealand in your honour which reminds me - I haven't got those photos up yet doh! Thanks Nicky, that was really kind of you, especially since you worked so hard yourself. You did a fantastic job of promoting the Pink Fund, thank you. Everyone in the Bristol group was brilliant. Despite a few hiccups we had one hell of a lot of fun didn't we? A great idea that everyone has worked so hard to bring to fruition. Mags xx

Happy 1st Birthday GB. It seems ages ago since she came to stay with me for a few days (it was September actually) but I wish her and everyone else involved lots of luck for the rest of her grand tour. Carolyn
