LOL Gwynne, Another thought , bit more possitive!! There are 6 ex West Ham players and 1 current going (okay 2 are stand by). Now didn't West Ham win the 66 world cup?

Gwynne PMSL. Sven has picked a squad to lose the World Cup. Absolutely gobsmacked. Wayne Rooney : Theo Walcott : Peter Crouch : Owen Hargreaves : Stuart Downing should not be going. I could go on but am so despondent. Can't believe he has not put Defoe in the squad. Come back Kev... all is forgiven. Jean x.

Susie, like I said...us GR girls should have picked the team!! Poor Dean is still injured, but Marlon's a big strong boy with pace and an eye for goal. Matty Etherington...hello! There are sooo many of our young players that he's not even looked at, and I do mean from all clubs, not just my beloved!

To summarise, Two unfit strikers (we need to be realistic re: Rooney), 1 6ft Donkey and a KID who hasn't even seen the green in the Premier league. Walcott will be under a lot of pressure and if he doesn't perform could have his confidence dented before he's even kicked a ball for Arsenal. I feel so sorry for Bent and Defoe. You score for your club and then get completely overlooked for a kid who hasn't even scored in a nightclub!...Sorry Sven - bad move! I'm afraid with SWP it's a case of 'I told you so'... he might have a Championship medal in his pocket but the nearest he'll get to the World Cup this year is watching it on the television like us! Least our boys might get a decent summer holiday before next season....Roll on Steve McLaren...
