Just finished reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, couldn't put it down, very much along the lines of the Di Vinci Code. I have just started Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. Belle. |

No you are not the only one not to have read the da vinci code. I read a previous of his which I thought was only marginably passable, tried to let him have a second chance to impress me - gave up. Badly written twaddle. (sorry Dan fans:) J |

Compared to the books you guys are reading mine sounds very boring. I am reading a book about the Crawshays, iron masters of South Wales and the Forest of Dean, who my family are quite possibly related to. M. |

How on earth does anyone manage to find the time to reread anything, I have a pile of books there still waiting to be read the first time lol. Hmm maybe if I stopped buying books lol. I've just started Last Witness by Jilliane Hoffman. I read her first one Retribution and enjoyed it and am enjoying this one so far. I've read three of Dan Browns and enjoyed them. I love anything by James Patterson and enjoy reading books by authours such as Cathy Kelly, Sophie Kinsella and Patricia Scanlan. |

I am 82, have been reading since I was 4. I read at fairly high speed and must have got through thousands upon thousands of books and magazines over the years, mostly non-fiction. I can remember being about 10 years old and feverishly reading 'tuppenny bloods', ( i.e Adventure, The Wizard, Hotspur etc) as I was aware that I was aging and soon be too old to want them so was devouring as many as I could before reaching a decrepit teenage. When I meet up with other bibliophiles, what amazes me is that, although our reading overlaps here and there, is is rarely that one's reading covers the same material as anyone else's to any great degree. The mind boggles at the amount there still remains to be read. What a lot of books there must be - probably more than there are people to read them. len |
