If anyone posts anything that is offensive or just plain provocative, then we should simply ignore it and make no response. They'll soon get bored lol! Margaret x |

As I said on Jeanette's thread I agree with what has been said here. I saw a thread recently and to me it seemed to have been posted to start a witch hunt and cause trouble. It's about time some people realised that others are allowed to have different opinions and learn to agree to disagree. |

Trish Have added to Jeanettes thread but agree with all that has been said here Do you remember the fun we used to have in chat too , the laughs and all the light hearted banter what happened to it all, I miss all that . I do not add to many threads now although I am reading more of them while I am puppy feeding through the night. Jan xxxx |

Totally agree Trish. Have added to Jeanettes thread but I didn't want you to feel left out. Oh dear - just realised that David had apparently got one too so I suppose I had better go and add to his. Don't want him to feel ignored or he may sulk:)) Chrissie x |

Jan, the Chat board was brilliant wasn't it - so many conversations going on at once - we had a great laugh. Sadly that was 'intruded' upon and just hasn't been the same since. Did try, about a year ago, to get people on there and chat as before but it didn't really happen as so many people and so many different times for each of them. |

Its so sad isn't it? Just of late some of the threads have been hijacked and poured with nastiness. I fear if it keeps up the board will be taken away.........its been suggested by the powers that be on one occassion :(( Trouble is 99% of members are genuinely nice people with a common interest and happy banter. Much happiness Debi |

Trish, I have only complained about one thread in over 2 years and that is because it contained a homophobic remark which I found offensive. I don't find some of the so called humour funny but would never complain about it. I just ignore the thread. I think to change the nature of the board back to how it was is just to ignore a thread you don't like. When the six or seven people I think are the ring leaders realise they are talking to themselves they'll soon get bored. Jean x. |

Hello Trish!! oh dear I'm so predictable ....... I agree with David yaaaaaaaaaawn!!! actually there are some really nice people on this thread - none of the stirrers have ventured on here ... yet! I am sooo bored with this saga ... people have been suspended before and the rest of us have just got on with it, they have been welcomed back by their 'mates', usually with a fanfare, but there has been none of this 'martyrdom'!! As I've said before, it reminds me of people who park on double yellows and then complain when they get a ticket! We all know what the Ts and Cs are - we ALL agreed to abide by them when we joined. If you don't break 'em you won't get in 'trouble' and if you don't LIKE 'em, then clear off to another site that doesn't have 'em!! Maz. XX ps may copy this post to the other threads that have been mentioned - haven't been on since yesterday lunchtime, so not sure what has happened overnight :-)) |

Hi Maz or should I say Hello Stranger :-)) Hope all's well. If any of the troublemakers come on here and respond I just hope that NOBODY replies to them. Childish minds soon get bored. |

Maz Your words ring so true They say the truth hurts doesn't it ? Maybe the people we speak of are so ashamed of their wrongdoings that they cannot bear to add to this thread or others in their own defence....or maybe now they havent got their full posse to back them up they are just plain scared. They say bullies are cowards and often run in groups. Maybe now they realize their actions have now been clocked by the many rather than the few they seem to delight in tearing to shreds Elaine x |

I have only just returned from a week away so I am not really aware of what has been going on. I can guess though, and I bet it started late at night as usual. There have alway been stirrers on here but lately they seem to be more 'in your face' with their remarks. Perhaps because there has been quite a bit of it they have begun to think it is acceptable. or maybe we have a breed of person on here who has not been taught repect for other people. Whatever, it is uncomfortable for the majority who are pleasant people just wanting an interesting discusssion or a laugh, people who are lonely or unwell who come on here to cheer themselves up. I am sure that the best idea is not to rise to the bait, ignore any nasty remarks and, if possible immediately start another thread to allow the first one to drop off the board. If nobody responds, or if just one person says on the thread, 'right we ignore this and start another thread', maybe theyw ill eventually take the hint. Reporting it doesn't really work because, even if theya re suspended, they come back again either as the same person or under another name. Remember, there are far more pleasant GR members than there are unpleasant ones. Ann Glos |

i think it is wrong to assume there is one lot of people,i think we all have valid views and so often can be attacked for them.that then separates them, then sometimes if you agree with someone you are classed as joining in with the wrong crowd.i prefere to keep to me self ,its safer.i cant let me down can i.i have lots of wonderfull friends on here, also im confused as to who should be the baddies so to speak,i think weve all done our bit at times.and thats not ment to be mean or single anyone out.its so easy to put your foot in it,more so now than ever.xxxxxxxxxxhugs to those who want em.joy |
