Hi Jane - glad things are a little better today and that Paul continues to improve....it must be such a worry for you though especially as you still don't know the full story... all you can do is to be there for him. Take care now and keep us informed. Lynda x

Best wishes to the young man for a full recovery. I hope he isn't too scared to tell who did it or protecting someone out of 'loyalty'. Jacky :-)

Much better news today. He's off the machine, but still has the drains in and is still quite poorly. I was allowed a quick visit today, so my mind is at rest now. Lots of different stories going around now, and he wont tell the police what happened! I do know the party was gatecrashed and he tried to get out.Was attacked in the stair well by 'someone'. Newspaper says 3 men, but we still hear it was the girl.Wont know till he tells. Again, I send my thanks and hugs back to you all for your thoughts, Jane x

Do hope Paul gets through this with no lasting problems, altho it will probably alter his attitude to life a lot. He is only a bit younger than my son, and I live in fear of hearing news like that, as Norwich has its share of muggings and stabbings etc. Don't feel bad for not being around, you can't tie 22 year olds to your apron strings, and don't feel guilty cos your lads are ok. You have already done a lot for this lad by the sound of things and I am sure you will do more for him in the future. Take care, and send my positive thoughts and best wishes to him when you visit him. Liz

Positive thoughts for Paul, and to you and your family for being there for him. What are the hospital doing, not letting you in til a next of kin arrives? That poor soul needs to know someone is there for him - we were let in to a very dear friend who was estranged from his family - doctor said anybody was better for recovery than no-one. Well done you for caring about him. Jay

omg...that close.... no weren't aware of anything - the only trouble near me yesterday was by the school field where the police were 'delving' down the drain at the side of the road for several hours about 5 ish... makes you fearful to go out doesn't it..... You take care now and we will pray that all this has a positive outcome. Lynda x
