Yeah, the houses are 1880's I think. Well known road although nothing brilliant about it. Houses are a bit big for the area. I think Victoria was an early road in Tranmere.

Next Door? Would the houses have been around in 1947? Oh Daniel, any info gratefully received. There were a few of the Huttons but all died relatively young and none appear to have family - that I've found of course. Oh sugar, think another trip to Merseyside is reqd.

Victoria Road is the street next door to me now

I have a nephew and his family in Liverpool as well Daniel - we're all coming out of the woodwork tonight! However if you have an old map where is Victoria Road, Birkenhead? Think it's near Cammell Lairds. An ancestor William Troup Hutton lived at 96 Victoria Rd with his wife Violet Freda until 1947. He died then at his mother's home in Aberdeen, he had TB (bad outbreak then, in fact my mother's sister died also from it but she contracted it in Glasgow). Violet Freda lived till I think 1999 ( will check on Ancestry BMD as I saw it there). A copy of book for me as well please, but no freebies - you should be making something from this. Would like it signed though!

My family are Bristol and Gloucestershire. Might be a link :-) Book is done. 2 mistakes I spotted, 1 map date one graphic, but that's publisher's fault. No one will notice. Out June 22 ;-)
