Got to work today only to be told that from 5.30 that day I would be out of a job (the owner just can't manage any more financially). Got home to have the phone ringing and it was the matron of the care home my f-i-l is in - he wanted to warn us that my f-i-l had to have the doctor out today and that there was nothing more they could do for him, it's will be a matter of a few months maybe.Delete months - hubby has been in to home and it will be weeks. :-(((

Trish {{{{{HUGS}}}}} Job wise, it can only be a good thing, as some will know, my hubby was in the same situation in August. Told not to come into work the next day as the firm had folded. He was out of work one week, had 3 job offers and took the job he hadn't dreamed that he'd be offered. 8 odd months on , and the job is brilliant, the moneys brilliant, and hes got a few more driving qualifications under his belt, hes worked in all sorts of jobs including on a film set . and at the moment hes at Wembley stadium. (he drives a cherry picker). AND the actual work is less physical than his old job too (used to be a delivery driver) Take this as a new opportunity and good luck in your hunt for a new job I also send out healing thoughts for your F.I.L Elaine x
