Alter Ego, I agree it,s not up for debate. Dinner is at lunch- time ( as in school dinners, - enjoyed? by me in the late 30s). Ask any peasant and they will agree with me. Happy days |

Breakfast Lunch Tea if its an afternoon snack likes cakes and tea Dinner is a family meal in the evening Supper if its a late evening meal and not too heavy. The term dinner has been corrupted by having dinnerladies at schools. Its lunch at midday ,its not up for debate :~)) |

Dinner at lunchtime - if that makes sense. Peasant at heart, and glad to be. Ancestors either digging below ground (miners) or above it (farmhands)....... |

When i met my first husband he said he would make me tea/dinner and that I should go to his house accordingly. Of course we had different ideas as to when tea/dinner was so he was furious that I had STOOD HIM UP!!!!!.......He was expecting me at midday and I of course turned up in the evening! Suzanne X |
