Just back from a two hour chat about all sorts with the treasurer of The Friends of The Tranmere Tunnels I mentioned last night. Well it seems that all the local history buffs are associated, as well as, for some reason, a load of psychics, and even the Labour Party! (obviousy the psychics are not part of Labour :-) |

The people are a group of local geeks whom I have joined 'one of us, one of us' who are trying turn some WW2 tunnels hidden deep under Birkenhead and Tranmere into a proper tourist attraction. They're all pretty elderly, next youngest to me is an ancient 40 year old. I hope to become King of the Tunnels and rule them from my underground lair. |
