Millie, how sad that you lost your husband but I am glad you have your lovely daughter and a son and grandchildren too. I bet you spoil your little dog too. Nice to have pets isn't it? I had 3 cats and a dog but lost the last cat and the dog in 1998 and haven't been in a position to have more pets since. One day I will tho. I have a son who is nearly 24 and he lives away from home,left when he was 18 as we argued so much but now we get on fine. He has a nice girlfriend who has a little boy of 5 - she has a flat of her own and my son has his, but they have been together for 3 years and he has known her since they were 12, and were friends through her relationship with the little one's daddy, and after they split, my son and her got together. I did have a daughter Zoe who would be 32 now (I am coming up to 59) but sadly Zoe was born weighing only 1lb 10oz - 30 weeks - and she only lived for 3 days. I miss her always, would love to have a daughter to shop with and chat with, my son is great but it's a different relationship with a girl and her mum. Well Lucy is 25 this year still living with me and she's an angel I have a son and he's 27 left home now got three girls of his own, his name is Earl and will always be my baby but my name on the board is the newest member of my family since my husband died 2 1/2 years ago, Millie is my mini yorki and she's my baby, |

Hi Millie, I like your daughter's name - I had two cats, at different times, called Lucy, one of my favourite names. I started off with Purple Petunia last summer as I was in touch with an Australian member called Priscilla (Cilla) and she was having problems. I bought a Purple petunia called Priscilla at a garden centre and put it in my hanging basket and told Cilla every time I looked at it or smelled it I would be sending positive thoughts to her. Well she mailed me back to say Purple was her favourite colour and we stayed in touch till her circumstances changed and she moved on to a better situation - she comes on the boards occasionally but is very busy in her new life now. Because I wanted to stop using my real name, I took on the name of Purple Petunia, then to be more Christmassy I changed to P. Poinsettia in December and haven't changed back as I found a site where it shows there really is a new Poinsettia out, called Christmas Pudding and it is purple/pink. I printed out a picture and made myself a badge for meets and so haven't changed to anything else since. How old is your Lucy? |
