It was brilliant wasn't it Margaret. I couldn't believe how quickly they found him and the great outcome. It would make a film wouldn't it:)) I thought having a tooth out without pain relief went out with my Gt Grandparents. It reminded me of those old photographs you see where the dentist has his foot on the patients chest LOL:)))))))))))) Chrissie xx |

Glad to hear you survived and that you're feeling better now Chrissie! I can understand you won't be wanting to return after all that! Dentists aren't my favourites. Not than any of them have hurt me in years. It's all the bad memories of school dentists and all that. Ughhhhhhh! Wasn't that story about Herta and Heinz/Henry amazing. There are some really wonderful people on these boards. Hope you enjoy your grub over the weekend! Cheers. Margaret x |

Hi Margaret Thanks for reminding me. I must go and have a look for the latest on Herta. Fine now thank you. I'm sorry I went on a bit yesterday but it had been a really traumatic experience. I didn't go into full details but suffice it to say that, although I have never minded going to the dentists in the past I shall take a lot of persuading to go next time:(( I actually cried this morning , I think it was delayed reaction and I can't remember the last time I cried. I was cheered up later this morning though. I had to go to the doctors and as my usual one was on holiday I saw the new one. A lovely, lovely man whose smile would light up any room. I must check that mine is on holiday again the next time I have to go:)) Chrissie xx |

I had extraction in May at the hospital dentist and was told definitely NO RINSING for 24 hours. For 7 days afterwards I had to rinse 3 times a day with either a salt or bi carb. mouth wash. Just told to go careful with eating for the 1st day but I found it quite sore for a few days at injection site. Gwyn |

Hi, i had one removed last wednesday ( after no sleep or food in a week due to the pain !!!) i was told not to eat or drink within an hour, think thats just because of the numbness though, if it helps all i had that night was 2 squares of chocolate, left out in the heat a bit to melt it !!!! good luck with whatever you try though :O)))) Jane whos tongue is also like a magnet to the gap !!! |

I had my wisdom tooth out last Sat, the dentist told me i could eat and drink straight away, but not to swill my mouth out until the following day, so as soon as you feel like eating you can eat what ever you want. Shirley Ann. |
