Hi, My record is the first Led Zeppelin lp, before it was withdrawn and altered slightly. The original copy, from 1969, had turqouise lettering, and only 500 copies were made, but within weeks it was withdrawn and given orange lettering. A slight difference, but it's highly sought after amongst collectors.

Hi Margaret, I would just love to have a juke box, maybe one day!! Thanks Kirsten, guess you were lucky to come across one of the copies. Do you play it?? Or would you be afraid it would get damaged? Dee -))

Yes we still have our record player and lots of old 45's from the 1950's. Sadly gave all the 78's away. Sighs and drops shoulders - they were the days - o Mary Hopkins 1960's. LOL Dorothy

You are lucky to have the spare needles Teresa, if the prices Harry quoted are correct ;-))

Hi Dee, No I don't! I got it for a present some years back, and I bought a cheaper copy to play instead. If it's damaged and I want to sell it in years to come it'll go down in price. Them record collectors have eagle eyes!

Dee, Many a true word is spoken in jest! We've been together through good and bad for 36 years, married for 32 of those so it can't be all bad. I'm not one of those chauvnistic porkers, I'm just blessed with a wife who knows her place! As she once said to me ' you're not perfect but bits of you are excellent!' Seriously, she's a diamond and I 'm a lucky bloke to have her and I love her to bits.

Hi Dee, yes I bought my Sony (top of the range at the time lol) stacking system in the late 1980's - it has a turntable on top, then tuner, then 2 cassette thingys, then it used to have a CD at the bottom. CD broke and I have had a portable one plugged into it for years now. I keep thinking about buying one of those teeny mini systems (or whatever they are called lol) but I wouldn't be without my turntable. Although I don't play my records very often, I have all my 7 inch singles (including some of those floppy ones you used to get free with magazines lol) in 3 singles cases and I spent some birthday money on a lovely silver case for my 12 inchers and LP's. Mum has a case full of 78's at her house and also has my 'teenage' record player - bright orange turntable and speakers - which can play them. I wouldn't part with any of the discs for anything! I remember when I was at school and college in the early 80's I used to buy loads of records, some from a catalogue that came without the 'middles'. I also acquired some a while ago when someone wanted to get rid of a load of cassettes and records that a tenant had left behind and dumped the whole lot on my mum! Most of mine are fairly mainstream, but I have the odd one that has a bit of value. Try looking at http://www(.)vtmusic(.)co(.)uk/ if you want to check values! Maz. XX

Still have one on the new stereo system we bought about five or so years ago, when they were still selling them together. Question is: Do I still use it? Not at all! Lyn x

In a box in my garage is my music centre - it was still working well when I packed it to move, 20 years ago, and never unpacked it. Have boxes of old LPs (and singles from jukeboxes with the middles out) Memories are made of this.....

Maz -- are you sure you don't want to change the date you bought it? 1908??? We have three -- hubbies, mine and I also have one in one of those large consoles...record player, radio and television. All three of them still work.

Hi Maz I remember discs without middles, didn't they come from juke boxes? I will bear that website in mind Viv I have a Cliff Richard 78 as well as the Tommy Steele one. It seems the 78 had a different B side than the 45 (the Cliff one) Dee xx
