Kila, you poor thing, I really don't know what to say. Everybody here has said lovely words, but I must say Vivienne's (Linen Lady) posting said it all. What beautiful words Vivienne. The best thing you could do for your darling Dad is to keep his memory alive. Besides, he's also living on in you and your siblings. God bless, and I'm sure his passing will be peaceful. x A poem I've seen for such an event is this: God looked around His garden And saw an empty space, He then looked down from Heaven And saw your tired face; He saw you getting weary When cure was not to be, He put His arms around you, And whispered 'come to Me'.

im sending you a hug, and will be thinking of you, its so cruel that this has happened and i truely understand how you are feelin when we were about to return to my home town with my kids and hubby just as mum had always wanted, she was snatched away from us all, i felt cheated , robbed and hoped id wake up and it would be a nightmare, that was 13 years ago , i hope youll feel your dad close to you again though he cant be with you it will give you comfort, i send you more hugs anytime you want to cry i have a shoulder for you

Kila - Just read your thread and my heart goes out to you and your family. I understand how you feel hun I lost my dad 20yrs ago and my mum 36yrs ago (I was 12yrs old). I still miss them today, but I treasure the happy memories I have and they are never far from my thoughts. I hope that your dad has a peaceful passing. Take Care with Love Lindax

Hi Kila, I know exactly what you are going through, earlier on today myself and my family buried my beautiful brother, he was only 52 and would have been 53 this sunday, he spent a little under half of his life confined to a wheelchair, i never heard him moan or complain about his lot and he took everything on his chin, but his poor body was simply 'worn out' and he wanted no medical intervention, we all knew what was coming, and you try to prepare yourself, but you can never really comprehend the utter devestation and lose you will feel when the time comes, we said goodbye to him everynight not knowing if it would be his last and on his final day he slipped into a coma and never came out of it, we were all with him when he died, holding his hand, hoping against hope that he wasn't afraid, and he has finally gone through 'heavens gate' and i know that my grandparents will have gathered him into their arms. It is especially tragic for my parents who are getting on a bit now as nobody expects to bury their children. So tell your father that you love him, as it's not something that many people say, and i won't tell you to be brave because that's the hardest thing to do, i am comforted that i had my sister every single step of the way, beside me, cos we both had 'strong days' where we wouldn't cry and equally 'bad days' where we would step outside his room and sob our hearts out. My thoughts are with you all tonight. Love Belle.
