Hi Bev, You obviously didn't see my reply to you on my original thread. I think people who work in the care industry deserve a medal. I don't think I could do it, I had enough problems dealing with the kids soiled linen, couldn't cope with adults. I'd be vomiting everywhere myself. Thanks for the thought though. Vivienne xx

Spent a long time this morning on the phone with a lady from Community Legal Services & she thinks I have a reasonable claim for constructive dismissal. I have to write to them first asking if they would like to settle outside of tribunal. Watch this space! Vivienne xx

vivienne, fingers crossed that you get somewhere with this, There is no excuse for trampling all over somebody who is a admitted loyal worker just for the convenience of the manager. Ann Glos

Well hope something turns up for you Viv you never know what is round the corner. It is good you have left on good terms who knows perhaps the one who caused the trouble will go and then you can go back it has been known to happen. As my Dad used to say don't worry something always turns up. Take care enjoy your free time. Germaine x

Vivienne Been on holiday for the last week so missed whatever has happened to you at your workplace. Doesn't sound good and I'm sure you will have been distressed and angry. If you and the advisory bodies reckon you have a 'constructive dismissal' case, then go for it, at least your ex-employers will realise that you can and will be realistic and hard-headed when it comes to self survival. Good luck and just enjoy the (hopefully) mini rest! Take care. Sheila

Thanks people, sorry it's taken so long, I keep getting thrown off the internet & then it takes a couple of hours to get back on. The lady at Community Legal Services thinks I should get at least £3000, which would help. If it goes to tribunal I could get about a years pay, she thinks. It's not something I want to do but I have to live & as they said their decision was not personal but business, I hope they realise the same goes for me. I don't know what I would do without you lot to talk to. Big(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to you all. Vivienne xx

Glenys the Menace! Report 3 Jul 2006 16:23

Vivienne, the Wicked Witch of the North or whoever she is, can now put her money where her mouth is. She wished you good luck, so perhaps you should take that luck and put it in your claim, lol. What people say I tend to take literally, lol. Sorry, not making fun out of your predicament; just giving her the contempt she deserves. As they told you, it wasn't personal, it was business. Now, as we all know, business works both ways ........... Good luck! :-) x

Well the balloon should go up shortly! Managing Director usually gets in around eight & general manager about eight thirty & my letter telling them I intend to go to tribunal should be on their desks. Wish I could be a fly on the wall. Vivienne xx
