Things are still pretty hectic here at the moment, but I’m starting to organise myself into some kind of routine lol! Mum has a scan tomorrow (fingers crossed for good results) and they will make arrangements for sorting out the fluid on her lungs as well. Hopefully she will then start to improve. We have finally decided to move house to be a bit nearer them. There’s no need for us to be in this town any more (jobs, schools, etc) so it makes sense to move to a neighbouring town and be able to help Mum and Dad out as much as we can. So now we have a different kind of stress to look forward to (not!). Thank you to everyone who has been sending emails or PMs – I’m trying to keep up with them, but forgive me if I need a few more days. Love to you all, Mandy :) UPDATE ... Today's ultrasound showed that there is no return of the cancer on the original site, but she will still have a CT scan to ensure that it hasn't appeared elsewhere. They are concerned about the amount of retained fluid on her lungs, stomach and legs (she's wheezy and struggling to walk) so they've taken a sample for analysis and are trying to get to the root cause. So far so good! Thank you all again for your thoughts and good wishes. Mandy :) x |
