Well, I actually laid in bed last night and thought about this to some extent. I'm really no longer sure if Moderators would help the underlying problem. Yes, Moderators should be able to delete threads that get out of hand and send a warning to the guilty member .... Possibly keeping a log of warnings : 3rd warning and you get suspended for 8 wks ... or something along that line. However, having read the comments about this group / that group / cliques / members disliking some and not others etc etc ... I actually now believe that we will never get rid of the underlying bad feelings that have been created over the last few days/weeks/months .... and its the bad feelings that are continually causing the problems. If the bad feelings stay - so do the problems ... Moderators or no moderators. I think (and I know its impossible ) but IF we were all to say ... forgive, forget and move on ... then we MAY be able to start a fresh and start communicating with each other properly. Genes may then stand a chance of getting back to a normal, happy, healthy place to spend quality time with like minded people... Elaine ;-) |
