When we think of war we always think of the two World Wars, and most of us really think of WW11 and what it was like then. Surely any war nowadays would bear no relation to the last two, we can't begin to know how things would progress or what would happen so therefore couldn't make plans to evacuate to 'somewhere safe' because there probably wouldn't be anywhere. No good worrying about it. If WWIII happens there will be no escape. Look on the bright side... I was born just before 2nd World War... lived through the Cold War, Cuban Missile Crisis, Korean war,'Vietnam, Falklands, etc. etc. (not necessarily in that order lol) and am still here and instead of worrying about the world my daughters live in now worry about the world my grandsons live in. To be honest I think global warming worries me more than anything else these days. Jean x. |

Hayley i agree it must be very hard, but if war broke out they will be taking them as young as they can, if there in the Forces or not they will be called up Girls and Boys, so it would effect most Lil |

The book of revelations is very interesting to read, it takes some thinking about but alot of what it says is happening, you have to adapt it for today, but its frighteningly acurate,And Im not a Christian. |

My first thought when September 11th happened was that it would start WW3. With so many people against war and weapons, far more than in previous conflicts, I hope that people will refuse to fight. If that is done worldwide, perhaps the people will be listened to rather than the politicians. But I dearly hope it never comes to that. Jacky |

Well, of course, we do have the option of fighting through the Ballot Box - should that lunatic Blair decide he is going in with America (oh, sorry, that should have read ' if Bush decies Britain is going into War with America...) then we have the option of overthrowing the Government and putting in someone - even temporarily - who doesnt feel the need to suck up to America and doesnt want to go to War with anyone at all. My daughter is ex-forces and she says - dont bother trying to find a safe place if someone lets off a nuclear weapon - just pray that it hits you and yours directly. OC |
