Yes!!!!! Went to a wedding there several years ago and stayed in a hotel opposite the fisherman's church. Enjoyed a stroll round the civic centre, a walk down to Albert dock and then the old ferry ride. Had always wanted to see the Liver building and Paddy's wigwam, so was well pleased. Jay

There are two Liver birds. One placed looking out over the river and one looking inland. On the ferry you will probably be told the local legend over the tannoy. The Liver bird looking out to sea is the female, searching for her loved one who may be returning from a hazardous voyage and hoping he is safe. The one looking inland is the male who is looking for the nearest pub!!

Fanny from the Harbour Yes I have also been to that Liverpool too!!!! My friend many yrs ago moved to a place called Wattle Grove, very handy for the train station but at the time was a pretty new development, to be honest I think it was the first time I saw a pelican, so everytime I see one now I remember Oz.. I say yrs ago, it was about 11 really, also went to Paramatta spelling! and the Australian Zoo which was north but not too far, the Blue Mountains also, would have loved to emigrate and I and hubby were pretty serious about it until he got promoted!! Never mind another life eh?? Debs x
