My grandmothers brother, Robert Halliday, K.O.S.B. was killed on 12/07/1915 in Gallipoli. His mother Lillias Riddell, went every day to the station to wait for him to return. She died in 1921 as my grandmother said 'of a broken heart'.

My hubby's grandad was at Dunkirk..We have a video box set called 'Battle line' as hubby likes that sort of thing..We were sat watching it and he jumped out of his skin when he spotted his grandad waiting to be picked up off the beach!!!!!! My granpappy was involved in the battle of the Atlantic..was really dissapointed i didnt spot him on the video.... LOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
