Could you tell me the difference between tarots and runes? Ros

Va the difference between tarot and Runes are... Tarot Consists of 78 cards. These are divided into two sections; the Minor Arcana, which means 'Lesser Secrets' consisting of 56 cards, and the remaining 22 cards are known as the Major Arcana meaning 'Greater Secrets'. Tarot cards is a tool for divination, and shouldnt be regarded as a simple methd for telling fortunes, ordinary paying cards can be used for this purpose, and are better suited to 'you will meet a tall, dark stranger' kinda of thing. Tarot are used to analyse probems, clarify the decision making process, or even help you to understand yourself and others a little better. When used to predict the future they can be uncannily accurate, but will invariably point to possibilites rather than probabilities. They also can draw your attention to forces shaping his or her path in life and often present choices, or suggest courses of action. Runes The history of Runes is uncertain but archeological finds with runic inscriptions have been dated back from 3 AD onwards. The runes were sacred writing system used throughout the Germanic tribes of Northern Europe. In some places this writing systm was used until the 17th century appearing on memorial stones, weapons, tools and buildings. The runes consist of 24 stones each with a runic letter of the alphabet on them, there are no equivalent runes for the letters C, Q and V though. Runes are used for direction & guidance for our every day lives and can also be used for divination, healing, protection and empowerment.

What you said about the young child hit the nail on the head, you mentioned every one of his problems and I know this is something I have not mentioned to you at all your first 2 cards around him r so true. Evening All... :-) Just posting to say....Please no more requests for tarot or rune readings for the time being, and due to 'mummy' commitments I have only managed 9 readings since yesterday and I have over 40 readings still to do. Hello Tara, I have just today bought by first deck. Why I did I have no idea feet just walked me to the shop straight to the cabinet and there they were. If you have time within the next few weeks I would love to hear from you as to how to get started as the booklet inside the deck didn't actually give much advice. Many thanks Tonya.

Best thing to do first is familiarise yourself with the deck. Get used to holding them, looking through at the Major and Minor arcana (read up a bit to see what im talking about) and get used to the suits, Pentacles, Cups, Swords & Wands cards (Minor arcana) and the Kings, Queens, Page/Princesses & Knights/Princes (Major arcana). I pm you with my email addy and will talk a bit more about it, and blessing your cards (the next step).
