My hubby putting up with me for 30yrs. Well never a dull moment he keeps saying poor soul. My parents 86 yrs old and still telling me off. Wonderful. My kids get hysterical when I get told off by my mum. Street cred has gone! Grandchildren, the most wonderful thing in my life. Aileen xx

OH DIZZY, HE WILL BE SO PLEASED. MY SON HAS DYSCALCULUS, THE NUMBER FORM. SO I DO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. ALSO THE STIGMA ETC. WHEN MY SON WAS SMALL,, HIS FAVOURITE STORIES, WERE THE ONES I MADE UP, WHICH WERE ABOUT A LITTLE BOY WITH HIS NAME, WHO GOT UP TO ALL SORTS OF MISCHIEF. NO PICTURES OF COURSE BUT NOISES, ANIMALS, CARS, TRACTORS ETC SUCH LOVE. PIPS XX.

HI, BACK AGAIN (GROAN), DIZZY AND PIPS, NOW THAT IS LOVE. LOVE TO ME ALSO IS LIKE YESTERDAY. 2YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WET HER PANTS BEFORE SHE COULD GET TO THE POTTY. I HUNG HER UP ON THE WASHING LINE BY HER EARS TO DRY OFF. SEE I AM NOT REALLY A CRANKY OLD SCOT. AILEEN XXXX

DIZZY, BE PROUD, OF YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR UPBRINGING. THERE IS A BIG AGE GAP BETWEEN MY TWO, LIKE YOURS, ELDER DAUGHTER YOUNGER SON. SHE WAS LIKE A SECOND MUM TO HIM AND HE COULD TELL HER THINGS, HE COULDN'T TELL US SOMETIMES. THERE IS A SPECIAL BOND BETWEEN THEM AND IT IS SO REWARDING TO SEE IT. PIPS XX

What a lovely thread. Please, please please, can this thread get lots of responses? All the nastier threads seem to last so much longer than the nice ones and I have so many ideas for this but don't want to monopolise things. Is the book going to be published Dizzy? It sounds as though it should be. A A Milne and all that. :-) I'm sure many other people have lots and lots of things they could add too. Love is - my granddaughter sticking up for her younger sister by shouting at a bully 'She's MY sister and I'M the only one allowed to make her cry.'

NO. BUT MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS THAT LIKE YOU, BUT IT IS A PERSONAL THING BETWEEN THEM. BUT SHE COULD DO A BOOK FOR OTHER CHILDREN, PERSONAL BOOKS WITH THE DETAILS GIVEN TO HER BY THE FAMILY, THEN EACH BOOK WOULD BE SPECIAL TO THAT CHILD. PIPS XX

love is having your family there what ever and when ever you call them and real friends there when you need them also all the lovely things you peple have wrote on here take care all xxxHowie
