My o.h's son lives and works in Ipswich now and has a local girlfriend, so hope he is watching out for her altho she does have a car so can get herself home easily and hopefully, safely. Can't imagine what those families of the girls are going through, and one had a 5 year old son too, who she saw every couple of days, I think another had children who have been taken away from her, I hope they are somewhere secure and this news will not affect them too much, if they haven't had contact with their mum for a while. Still very hard for them all tho, Can't stop thinking about their last hours, and how scared they must have been. Liz

Hazel my OH regular job is in the prison service and believe me their rights are ridiculous, they can call their brief when ever they feel victimized.....pathetic God bless those poor girls, could be any of our lasses who have had probs, Cazxxxxxx

Sadly, they have got to catch him first..and I hope and pray it is before anyone else is killed.

Hi Teresa, yes i agree with you, but if he gets life meaning life thats fine, but he'll proberly get about 10 yrs max then he's out to do it all over again. hazelx

Hi , I think these murders are terrible but what will happen to the person who is doing these murders if and when he's found, he'll go into a 5star hotel with all mod coms [prison] shout about his rights, and he'll get what ever he wants.is that justice or what hazelx

Police have already said if this is a serial killer, then he has killed before, as a sort of learning thing, so they are examining other cases, including the Norwich ones. They have also said he may be targetting prostitutes now, btu it could be because he has something against prostitutes OR it could be because they are the most vulnerable. I certainly won't be going anywhere after dark on my own.

A few years back 2 prostitutes from Norwich were found dead about 8 miles from here. More were reported missing but then everything went quiet. No one was ever arrested. I am wondering whether this chap is an East Anglian with access to both main cities in the area. I shant be walking the dog tonight guys and Id advise no one in Norfolk or Suffolk to go out in the dark - as someone else says Peter Sutcliffe went for any woman if no prostitute was around - poor kids, their short lives ended and no matter what they did for a living, they had mums out there breaking their hearts now.

This is getting so frenetic - At the risk of being a whittling old woman, those of you with young men in your families, advise them too to make sure that they are not out alone. Everyone is 'a suspect' and they need to protect themselves by being able to prove where they were, when and who with. My heartfelt sympathies to the loving families of all these poor victims, and my hopes and prayers for the safe-keeping of all the women in the Norfolk/Suffolk region. Jay

Thats the point isn't it Rosi, whatever people may think of the way they earned a living, and for whatever reason, they are still someone's daughters.

What awful news, I have just got in from work and hubby has updated me, 5 heartbroken familys now without daughters.....My heart goes out to them.

5 Hayley, they found 2 this afternoon. 5 in ten days.

This is really worrying me now, my son and his girlfriends family live in Ipswich and is making me scared for their safety. I am hoping they find this killer soon...was up there the other w/e and we were talking about the first two that had been found...can't believe there has been more...those poor girls and their families...what an evil creature this person must be...am really sad now.
