Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 24 Dec 2006 22:54

Oh Lesley - I forgot about the Mounties that I sent. It was when my daughter was in Liverpool this summer. They were to be stationed at the tunnels, train stations and ferry crossings to prevent Dan from meeting her. That was a good laugh. The Mounties didn't get their man, as they met quite a few times:)) Love and Peace to you all. Deb

Polly, weren't you here before me? lol i think i appeared at the beginning of the year sometime. I did think Dan's hanging was very funny. I thought Boro Babs was going to beat him up after that photo! lol Also, when he threatened to go up and invade Scotland and we drafted in the Mounties (sent by Debs) to keep him out of Merseyside and Scotland lol

I didn't appear out hear until about May, just watched before.. But some of the antics on here had me rolling with laughter...! OH often looked confused..!! Dan's hanging was a classic..! Christine's Etiquette school....useless, that was.. And Lynda's entertainment thread... Anything with Lemon, Jilly,McAnne and Dan on.. More recently, well, it has to be the silly Hassell... * runs off thread*

Like you there have been many threads that have had me in stitches over the years. The one that really sticks in my memory and I still laugh when I think about it now was on the Tips Board last Christmas about a few of them making their way to Old Crone's 'establishment' to celebrate the festivities. My goodness there are some good 'one line' comedians but I defy any of them to be as funny as some of the comments added to that thread. Jean x.

I loved Linda Pace's and Christine Clissold's threads about the night school classes......and Daisy's 'Pegging out washing, using colour-coordinated pegs'.....really hit the spot.... Here's to you all, all you witty people out there......lovely.....x

Been some really good times on here. Happy ones, sad ones , poingnant ones, and downright nasty and ones that have made tears run down my cheeks. I 'expire' at the end of the year, and will start 2007 without a membership of GR- guess all things come to an end, and i cant see any point in carrying on with something which at times i find heartbreaking, Thank you all for your friendship, your advice and even for the less kind things that have been said - all part of the tapestry of life I suppose Jess x

Guinevere Report 24 Dec 2006 05:32

Ah, Lems, some of the funniest threads have come from you. I miss Benders loads she used to make me laugh until I hurt. I loved The Island and Utopia - followed by the village. I loved DB's election campaign during the last general election. I enjoyed GR street (especially the episode written by the guest writer) and admire Em for persisting even though some were horrible to her about it. You'll be missed on here, Lems, but I know I'll see you elsewhere. Gwynne
