This is reminding me of my friend who now lives in Miami, when we worked together omg! 37 years ago in the restaurant of an hotel in Norwich. She was forever stealing bits of cheese from the cheese trolley, so much so that the chef nicknamed her Minnie. She would cut little cubes and leave on the side of the dishes so people could try any they didn't recognize before having a large portion, but she only did that so she could steal cubes everytime the trolley was nearby! |

I think you mean Le roule Clare it's my favourite too. Have any of you been to that pub/cheese restaurant in Manchester by the canal? If I remember right it's called The Mark Addy you pick a selection of cheeses with bread and gerkins. Jackiexx |

Haloumi - grilled on the bar b q just before you turn it off!! Boursin (great stuffed into chicken breasts with toasted pine nuts and baby spinach leaves, then wrapped with proscuitto or bacon) Ashed Goats Cheese - could eat the whole roll myself Sheep Feta As a small child my mum would buy me the tiniest piece of gorgonzola as a very special treat - she couldn't believe I could love such a disgusting looking cheese! And so the list goes on, but I still also love a nice wedge of tasty cheese with a crisp apple and a few grapes!! Gosh this thread is making me hungry ..... Lyn |
