I grew up in Lyme Regis Awdrey. It is a lovely place........especially out of season when the locals have the beaches all to themselves! I'd like to go back to Calvi in Corsica. I had a two weeks there 25 years ago and it is a gorgeous spot. Sue |

June. In the nineties I used to go to the rugby at Wigan and I sat in the stands with a gentleman named Geoffrey Moorhouse, he lived in Gayle and he travelled down every time Wigan were at home. He was an author of some kind and a really lovely man. We had quite a few conversations when we met. Jeff xx |

June I've been all round that area, I stayed for a week in my son's caravan just down the road from the pub, Palmer Flat in Aysgarth and I toured all round West Burton, Kettlewell, Burnsall etc. I have a lovely video of the dales villages and the scenery is breathtaking. Jeff xx |

June, I might be a Lancastrian but I love Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and the Yorkshire Dales. I have been a number of times through the Dales via Hawes and Aysgarth to Ripon and then come back via Pateley Bridge, it's a lovely circular tour. Jeff xx |

June, I read that the law would be at the bottom of the village looking for smuggled goods and the goods would be at the top and on the road before they could get to it. The whole village would be involved so no-one would be talking. What a great history. Susan |

Yes, I've been to Robin Hood's Bay. We parked at the top and walked all the way down to the bottom looking in all the little shops on the way. We then walked back up and had afternoon tea in the little cafe at the top. My idea of bliss. Susan |
