It's my birthday tomorrow and I have promised my grandchildren never to smoke again. So as from the stroke of midnight tomorrow that is it. My drawers are full of patches! Sorry let me rephrase that. I have a drawer full of patches. So for Lent, I am giving up smoking. Aileen xxx |

I am giving up absolutely nothing! zilch! nana! zero! I am on my fifth week of being without fags, I have run out of places to put the patches, I have zits from the chocs I have been devouring in place of the cigs, the fat is oozing from beneath my top garments, I get through 2 jars of nescafe a week (not decaf!!!) and you are asking what I'm giving up???? After thirty odd years I am going to try and stop smoking. I gave up when I was pregnant (1983 and 1989) and for about four months a couple of years ago, but I'm really going to try this time, starting at midnight tomorrow... That's my only vice I'm afraid. Sheila |
