It was about this time when my daughter received hers a couple of years ago. Good luck Maz, Dawn and anyone else who is waiting to hear, hope you all get the schools you want.

Who else will be receiving their child's allocation this week? Ours is due to be posted out on Thursday - is it the same everywhere? Fingers and toes crossed for everyone who is waiting to hear. Bet there are a lot of anxious people about this week. Maz. XX

Dont know when we get ours but have only put down one school, ours usually do it on a bank holiday weekend so they have an extra day before they get all the complaints lol Already had the primary school one through. Oh yipee two new uniforms to buy.

Actually Maz, thinking about it, we haven't actually had 'official' notification from the council. But we have already attended the welcome evening at the school. Surely they wouldn't tease us with that if Olivia didn't have a place.....would they!!!!!

Hi Jeanette :-) We were given a thick booklet back in September with details of all the schools in the borough and the whole procedure laid out for us. But here no-one (even if you took entrance exams) will find out for sure until Friday. Hope it's ok lol Dawnie, yes I'm not looking forward to the uniform part either! Funny, I thought that everyone in the country would hear on the same day! Perhaps it is just London that hears this week. Thanks DAC - keep those fingers crossed please! Maz. XX

Fingers crossed that you all get the schools you want. We had a nightmare with Alex, didn't get the school we wanted for him, he even had no school to go to for a couple of months. I remember crying with Alex in his bedroom one Sunday as were were so down, then all of a sudden spongebob square pants let out a little cry, so unexpected..which made us both pmsl. I then said to Alex, someone is telling us its going to be OK, and low and behold we recieved a letter from the school we wanted on the Thursday to say Alex had now been given a place. Suzy :o) x

When my kids changed schools, the letters were posted out on 28th Feb hopefully to be received 1st March. Still the same here as far as I know. Thank goodness I don't have to go through that again, 3 times is enough. Sue

Maz am waiting to hear about the twins addmission to high school as well... trouble one of my little darlings has now changed his mind!!!!! March 1st is national offer day so am presuming we'd all hear at the same time???? Our council website says we should receive our letter 2nd march, but we can also check online from 9am 2 March, if we'd applied online. P.s Forgot to say am not anxious this time... boys not academic so not much to choose beteewn the two schools they got a choice of. Main diff is one is all boys and a sports college, thats the one they BOTH chose. Other is mixed. Good luck everyone xxx

Dawn just reading thru our council stuff and it states......... If it is not possible to offer you a place at any of your preferred schools, your local home authoriy will write and tell you. However if you are a Sutton resident and if there are vacanies at other Sutton schools, we may offer a place toyou even if the school was not one of your preferences. So you might get something else if not you one choice. Tho am assuming the place is for Laddo, won't he be followinghis sister and given priority on admission? And has anyone heard the new ruling I've heard about???? No priority for siblings, at least I think i heard that????? Oh and i know how you feell about buying two uniforms :((( one of the joys of twins LOL

Oh your poor lot! I'm so glad I went to school where I did, no silly waiting for the council to decide if kids can go to school for us. Everyone sends the kids to the local comp that they live in the catchment area for so you go to school with all your mates from primary. The only exceptions are the catholic school /(which takes kids from the primarys attached to it), the Welsh comp (again attached to a few primaries) and those who want to go out of catchment. My brother is out of catchment and we had to apply to the council for his place, he got the school he chose as did 2 of his mates, but they were warned that the coucil couldn't gaurentee places even if older siblings went to the school - although 2 of my brothers mates have younger sibs in the same school so it can work. I do hope you all get what you want when decision day arrives.

Hiya Maz yep saw you'd got your booking thru... really pleased for you xx our hols was brill but knackering totally knackering!!! need a real holiday now to recover, but thats not gonna happen.. hope toget away at Easter, other wise will be end of May with Cubs!!!!! Everything went according to plan apart from leaving park slightly late yesterday, was making good time on motorway. Totally making up the lost time, until we had to stop for petrol. car wouldn't restart. So total panic ensured. Had to call french AA, who i must say was brill. I was in right state.. even threw up several times cos of stress, was also shaking (think tiredness didn't help) . But we missed our train back thru tunnel. Luckly they put us on another free of charge, which was brill as well. As they was running to capacity!!. We had to wait in car park for over hour with car running as we didn't know if it would restart if turned off!!! After speaking to staff they even had a recovery waiting this end for us, in case we couldn't restart as we had to turn engine off while on train!!!! Had moment of panic but car started ok. Almost got killed on M25 as a white van man decided he WAS going to use the lane we was using!!!!!! And we unpacked in the pouring rain at 1 am this morning...........i spent a lot of this morngin sleeping, but Dean and two boys had 10am kickoffs!!!!! But looking at going again so it wasn't all bad LOL
