OK, place the mouse cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy anywhere on this page. Click and hold the left mouse button. Now, with the mouse button still being held, drag your mouse across the text. You will see the text being highlighted as you pass over it. When you get to the end of the text you want to copy, release the mouse button. Hope this has worked!! Nanna-Moo ;-))

Star this is what I found on the internet: To cut, copy and paste: 1. Take your mouse and position the cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy. 2. Click left and drag over the text to highlight it. 3. Release left mouse button. 4. With the cursor hovering over the highlighted text (anywhere), click the RIGHT mouse button and select copy from the drop down menu (using right mouse button) 5. Now go to the place you want to put your copy, (using your left mouse button to get to that place, if you need to) 6. Then click your right mouse button and select paste OC

Have you ever had to copy a really big letter or paragraph by typing from one file to another? Or from a web page to an email? If so, you know it can be a very tedious job. Let your mouse relieve your keyboard fingers for a minute. You can do what is called 'Cut & Paste' or Copy & Paste'. well what do you know i did it ..thanks shirley

Stevie.... you're gorgeous lol. I'm an old lady, and a numpty to boot, but I understood your instructions perfectly. You wouldn't like to keep adding to this thread with some basic computer skills would you. I for one would love it. Jean x.

Quick way to highlight a whole page - go to Edit and choose Select All - saves having to 'drag' it all into blue text.

You don't need to open a notepad to cut/copy and paste, just follow Steve the Flirt's instructions as below (cut and pasted!) OK, place the mouse cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy anywhere on this page. Click and hold the left mouse button. Now, with the mouse button still being held, drag your mouse across the text. You will see the text being highlighted as you pass over it. When you get to the end of the text you want to copy, release the mouse button'. It is then easier, after getting to the end of the text you wish to copy, to release the left mouse button, then press the right mouse button and you will see, cut, copy, delete, paste etc. Click on cut if you want to remove the piece to put it elsewhere, or copy if you just want to copy it. (Or delete if you just want to delete something). Then you can click on reply on here, or open an e-mail, or windows, or any other document you like. Right click and paste. There is another way, whereby once you have highlighted the piece you want to cut or copy, you can click on Edit on the toolbar at the top of the screen and choose, cut, copy etc. Then when you have decided where to place your piece, go back to Edit and choose paste. OC My husband uses shortcuts all the time, but when I watch him, I often think the way I do things is quicker - but then many moons ago I was trained as a typist and he only uses 2 fingers (to use the keyboard I mean!!!). Liz
