Much cooler here today.

Really enjoyed my trip to Bridlington yesterday to meet with K’s niece and her OH at their seaside apartment.

They had been for a swim in the sea after breakfast but by afternoon the sun had moved which made it comfy after lunch for us to sit with a drink on the balcony people- and boat-watching.

Travelling was cool with the air con on and timing was spot on.

On voluntary duty this morning so I shall get ready after I have watered the tomatoes.

Bit of a restless night here. Lovely and cool outside at 4a.m but there was a constant

annoying noise for a long time after that. Sounds as if it was coming from local tube

yard.

Much warmer here today. It's the first time I have woken up feeling sticky. The computer is telling me that it is 21 degrees outside but it also says it feels like 27 degrees and getting hotter. We are just not used to it up here :-0

Joy - I had also forgotten that you were off to Bridlington - glad you had a good time.

Off out this afternoon to meet my friends for coffee (although I think it will be a cold drink today) ;-)

Met office say it is already 33 out there, just a little more than it is in the house and we have a yellow warning for thunderstorms in a couple of hours.

Our outdoor thermometer, which is completely in the wrong and very hot spot says it is 60. Doesn’t help that the casing is metal. ;-)

If it really was 60 I wouldn’t be posting as I would just be a puddle on the floor, actually, thinking about it I wouldn’t be posting more likely self combust :-0

We have a similar problem as our thermometer although it doesn’t have a metal

casing is in the shade and currently reads 33.9 ;-)

Yesterday I moved it into the sun and as you say it went sky high so I moved it back

before it melted :-0 :-0 :-D

Currently it’s 27+ indoors but with the fan going it’s not too bad.

Last time I looked it was 27 in the sitting room and 30 in the bedroom. We get all the afternoon and early evening sun on this side of the house.

Met office say it has already hit 35 in west London. Guess where OH and daughter are ;-)

A bit cooler than some of you, it's 28 here now, so dropped slightly.

Daughter and I have just fished a Magnum each out of the freezer.

My gardener came when I was at the heritage centre but,as I usually do, I had left his money in an envelope in the greenhouse. I had left the sliding door an inch or two open but when I got back I found that he had left the door much more open - and was I pleased for his attention as it was absolutely sweltering hot inside ….. and my tomatoes are coming along a treat.

Wondering what nosh I can have tonight. :-S
