A lovely spring day here. Was up at the crack o'sparrows, had a good breakfast put the washing in the old Zanussi then met my early-morning friends for coffee.

Came back, hung out the first load and put more in.

Watered the tomatoes in the greenhouse then potted more red geraniums - the second lot I bought. I bought the first lot about four or five Tuesdays ago after my gardener told me he had bought some reasonably priced, healthy tomato plants and bedding plants at one of the garden centres I pass every Tuesday.

Maddie, great minds! I bet yours are far advanced than mine.

Spoilt all the good work by having a cheese and caramelised onion roll with my coffee when I had done those chores!

There were really dark clouds looming at lunchtime, but they moved on over the hills without any rain falling here.

It's been a lovely day so far but now the clouds are coming in.

Friend and her husband came this morning because they knew my son was away and they took me out for lunch :-D. Lovely hot pork and stuffing baguette with chips and salad. It was lovely as it was unexpected.

No voting in our area either Gwyn. but I do always vote for the same reason as Belle said.

We got out early this morning as Beloved had his 6 months check up at Moorfields. We eventually got seen at 11.45 as there was an emergency.
