Wet and miserable weather yet again! :-(

Had an extended breakfast as I won’t eat until 2 pm now with friends who have travelled from the Midlands for the weekend and have booked in nearby. I am cooking their breakfast tomorrow before they make their way home.

They are lovely people. She is the daughter of a friend I was bridesmaid for in 1963 - a great friend who, sadly, died in her fifties. We didn’t half get up to some escapades and had a fabulous time in our teens. Mum must have torn her hair out as I l spent my time at dances most nights so homework got the elbow, :-D

A quick trip out to the shops soon, because we need more supplies before daughter settles down to watch the rugby later.

I lived too far from any venues like that, so was usually in every evening.
