Weather is grey and a bit damp, but we are forecast a deluge and very strong winds off The Channel, so I won't be going out.

Should be brighter later... We'll see.

Just been reading back on yesterday's thread...

Sounds like Jem's neighbourhood cat is like Six Dinner Sid.
He featured in a children's picture book and went from house to house, where everyone fed him thinking he was hungry :-0 :-)

The 'blonde one's' comments about our service men and women not being on the frontline will have upset a lot of people locally, especially the family of a 19 years old soldier killed in Afghanistan :-(

I have to go out to a meeting this afternoon so I shall pop into the local shops for a handful of things so I can stock up a bit more before the snow arrives here next week (apparently). :-(

It's not so nice as fresh, but I always keep by a carton or two of long-life milk in the winter months, in case we can't get out.

He is very ill-informed, Gwyn. Either that or he creates his own virtual reality, known as cloud cuckoo land.

It must be very upsetting for the families of our troops (450+) killed in that war.

I do that too, Gwyn, and sometimes I freeze milk too.

I agree with you Belle.

I wouldn’t care but they dragged their feet in both WW1 and WW2, but I expect he would believe those wars didn’t start until the US entered battlefields. He definitely needs more savvy advisers.

It still surprises me that not one of his family has thought to point out where he is wrong about the conflicts although they may be afraid that they will be cut out of his Will or the Trust Fund. :-(

Joy, he did say that if it wasn't for the US's intervention in WW1 & WW2 we would all now be speaking German or Japanese :-|

I remember these boards back in 2010, when a member had news that her son had horrendous injuries in Afghanistan.
He survived, but lost both legs :-( :-(
