Its a lot lighter this morning here. Rained most of yesterday and all the snow and ice has now gone :-D

Off to take some dining chairs to be re-upholstered to match the new curtains.

The wind drove rain right up to the front door, but on the plus side, it is much milder.

How annoying it must be elsewhere in Kent to have rain falling, but none in the taps :-0 :-0

Kath, with all those recent changes, you are having a major new look in your home, - lovely.
I hope you are pleased with your chairs, when they are recovered.

I still have my parents' dining chairs.
Mum once told me that they had saved hard to get them and they had decided to pay a bit more for better quality ones, as they would last... and they have :-D

I do remember Dad taking all the thicker varnish off, perhaps late 60s era and now the lovely wood is visible. He recovered the seats around the same time, so I think they are due an upgrade now!

Gwyn I suppose you could put a bucket out to catch the rain water and use it for the toilet. ;-)
Hopefully they will deliver bottled water to vunerable households.

There were problems with water supply in some parts leading up to Christmas.
Yes, I would be resourceful, but there is only so much you can do.
A make-do wash would suffice if you are staying home, but to be out and about I'd want a bit better than that :-|
