Off to a hospital appointment this afternoon. One that's been cancelled three times already. I have had trouble with a "trigger thumb" but to be honest I've waited that long that I think it's more or less sorted itself out. Still going to the appointment though because if I don't you can guarantee it will come back again and I'll have to start all over again on the waiting list.

Von, sorry I missed your birthday yesterday but I hope you had an enjoyable day and I send belated happy birthday wishes. <3 I missed yesterday because I met up with older sis, oldest brother and his wife for a natter and coffee (The King's Lodge, Kath, where we met).

Belle, sorry to hear about your sister-in-law; it's a horrible time for her and the whole family. <3

I was out by 8.15 this morning as I took my car for its MOT - passed with flying colours while I waited as I was first in.

Pigged out on the way home and bought a Cornish pasty for my morning coffee break! Not that I needed it with the extra weight I am carrying, but it was delicious.

The gas man has finished with me - I can now drive off my drive without passing over a hole covered by a steel plate. He is still working in my street and the street opposite me though as those red and yellow barriers are hiding holes all over the place! :-0

This Sunday I am down for two live-streamed interviews (Ann Cleeves and Fiona Hill) organised by our local Book Festival.
