Thames Water were ringing my doorbell while I was out :-0 I was able to speak with them through my Ring doorbell they wanted access to my manhole as a neighbour had a blockage again. Fortunately, the side gate was open so they could access it without me being there° :-). To much excitement ;-) :-D :-D

Bestie just phoned to check whether I had any storm damage and whether I was OK. <3

Gasman digging up the footpath. He told me that they are putting in plastic pipes - inside the existing ones.

Although I may negotiate off the drive and pop along to the Coop where a huge tree came down. My bestie, who no longer lives within walking distance, told me about it because she keeps up with the local gossip online. <3

Negotiate because the barriers are still there! :-(

Edit: looked online and there seems to be a red car at right-angles across the road and I can't make out whether it was caught up in the tree that came down in the storm or (because its passenger-side looks intact) it stopped in time but slewed across the road.

The large striped grass plant on the front is at an alarming angle due to the wind - it's an annual thing and I always fear it will be uprooted and fly off down the hill :-0

It's been really gusty here this afternoon but nothing like those taking the brunt of Amy's wrath :-0 :-0

Up and into town earlyish to have my flu jab at our doctors' surgery.
Usually it's quite quick, as they utilise all the nurses' rooms and we are directed to whichever room is free next.
I must have gone at just the right time, (we have an hour time-slot in which to attend)
Hardly time to get in the building, quickly take my coat off and uncover one arm and I was shown to a room, jabbed and out the back door.
In total about 2 minutes :-0 :-D

Really gusty winds got up late morning, but I didn't see any damage just lots of leaves swirling.
It is still windy, but nothing like the speeds reported from other areas and it has stayed dry.
