Now they have reinstated the thread, albeit they have also unstickied it, I have deleted my remarks on that thread as promised.

Oh and John's remark on my other thread has no bearing on me doing this.

I have deleted mine as promised.

Rambling

Rambling Report 12 Aug 2013 10:34

Email from GR, saying they have removed my thread stating that it was I who reported CupCakes post,

"I've remove this thread as it was turning into an argument again.
I've reinstated the tribute thread.
The tribute thread was reported in error - the other member was trying to contact us to ask us to unsticky the thread as the last message of support was posted 20th July.

Kind Regards,"

I can't comment on whether my thread was "turning into an argument" as there were only 3 posts on it when I last saw it. If anyone feels they wish to argue with my points made, they are at liberty to PM me.

A quick mea culpa would have saved an awful lot of trouble yesterday and I do not believe the person would have been vilified for a genuine confessed mistake.

Rose I didn't see anything which would have constituted an argument.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 12 Aug 2013 10:39

Only one dissenting post on it, Rose, can't see how that could be described as an argument. All others in agreement.

I can't imagine who would have reported it.

Rambling

Rambling Report 12 Aug 2013 10:50

oh well since my post has been reported , the gist, I DID think it was important to show GR's email that said the report of Sandie's thread was "reported in error"

The tribute thread was reported in error - the other member was trying to contact us to ask us to unsticky the thread as the last message of support was posted 20th July.

That HAS to be a world record...lololol :-D :-D

Guinevere Report 12 Aug 2013 10:52

Only my second, Ann., in 10 years. It really is time GR woke up to who the troublemakers really are - it's obvious to the rest of us.

My deleted post referred to a very insensitive remark made by someone on Sandie's thread. Mentioning that person by name seems to have caused some upset. I'd have thought the person would stand by what they said if it was justified rather than report me.

If anyone would like to know which person posted the crass remark and what I said in response feel free to pm me.

GlitterBaby Report 12 Aug 2013 12:20

I got this from GR

It was a terrible shame this post was reported, but after emailing the reporter, we discovered that they were actually requesting that the thread was unstickied rather than that they had found it abusive.
It was a mistake and the other member is really sorry if they caused any upset by their mistake.
I hope this explains why the post was reported and that we can now draw a line under this.

Have removed my posts and received similar reply as GB

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 12 Aug 2013 12:35

We could have drawn a line under it if whoever it was had popped on the thread and explained. we actually did comment that it could have been done in error but didn't know how. the upset was caused by people thinking it may have been done maliciously. (cue Joun leaping on with his criticisms). Maybe there needs to be a stickied thread explaining what happens when a thread is reported!

Ref Ann Cardiff's remark. Was a post of mine reported? If so I didn't see it. Which was it does anyone know?

My posts were in a very similar vein to others but I wasn't reported :-S

I have now removed my posts. Hopefully, the thread will resume it's dignity.

Not that I am cynical of course, but I do really wonder if the person who RR'd it, REALLY made an error. It would be far better to own up and tell the truth.
