Kitty? Hate to disagree. But in this big Genes chat room we have groups who get together to talk about Wales, Australia, talk about funny moowchios smiley things every day, talk about old childhood memories, books, poetry etc.

And if someone talks about a TV series called Long Lost Families, we tend to all crowd round whoever began that thread. Not split into 3 or 4 little groups and all discuss same things.

If we really cannot find thread from previous week of a TV series like Long Lost Families, can we not start a thread each week to discuss each individual programme?

oh do give it a rest John

John................I respect your opinion, don't agree with it, but you are as entitled to yours as anyone else.

Shall we just agree to disagree and move on now
:-)

Have deleted my posts on Louise's thread. I only nudged it forward to say I think that was the original thread that mentioned this adoption programme Long Lost Families. Most subsequent posts were wumming, imo. Yes, it would give totally the wrong impression to a new poster. So please all take that on board.

"wumming" (an awful word) means winding up, and does not mean responding intelligently to a single poster who is clearly trying to wind others up.

Just in case anyone was confused :)

Anyone can read the posts that where posted on Louises thread and they will see they were not Wumming !! at all....mind you alot does not make sense because Of Johns deleted posts......which I found upsetting not only to others but to Louise herself..........I was going to delete my post but seeing as Wumming was mentioned I have decided to leave mine where they are......

I will give one apology and that is to Hayley....im so sorry this was brought onto your thread Hayley on my part anyway........ <3

"please take it on board" :-S the rest of us already have taken it on board - common good manners and respect for others

Yes, and I would like to apologise to Louise and Hayley too. And Kuros and SueinLeeds.

It was a genuine question. I did think having 3 active threads on same TV programme last night was a bit confusing. It did confuse my little brain. That was the only point I was making.

Not trying to upset anyone - honest.

Edit. This was final post of Louise on 19 July:
"It was the outcome I've always wanted. Ill be coming off this site now, but for the people who offered their support and help, I thank you. And the people who were less than helpful, I thank you also, cause all you did was made me more determined. To Errol The Sheep, a huge thank you. For listening and offering words of wisdom that I listened to.
Lou x "

I thought it was 5 last night but not really important.

Hayley - apologies for the unpleasantness on your thread.

Not too sure why my post has been reported, and no idea who has done it. I think I did say in that reported post that I had been wound up this morning by wummers. If I get reported for saying that again in this post, I will take the risk.

I have been wound up this morning by people who love to wum if they spot certain posters posting. If they don't like the description "wind up merchant" and cannot make reasoned points in debate, they should take advice of others and not get involved with certain posters. Simples!

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 7 Aug 2013 12:10

John can you really not leave it?
I fail to see how anyone was trying to wind you up - they were responding to daft posts and the comments were valid and reasoned.
Now, please let Hayley's thread get back to its actual topic.

This is not specifically related to the topic of the "No long lost families thread???" however on this thread and other threads it never ceases to amaze me that some people are commenting but not making any sense.

Somehow, and for some reason only known to them, they have the capacity of cunningly maneuvering the simplest comment made by anyone by turning and twisting it into something completely different from the original comment.

I can only presume they enjoy watching the reactions their game of intrigue provokes and that they get some weird satisfaction from winding people up by playing out their fantasy.

Just a general comment.

JustJohn Report 7 Aug 2013 12:20

Totally agree with that, OFITG. I rather doubt your post was meant to be supportive of what I have been saying last night and this morning, but I read it in that spirit.

ROFL @ Errol. Totally risible :-D :-D

eRRolSheep Report 7 Aug 2013 12:33

If anyone would like to know what various comments were based on, please feel free to PM me.
I would rather keep it off Hayley's thread and let it return to the actual topic without being taken over.

John, when you posted last night I ignored it...but I can tell you for sure only ONE LLF thread was on page one at that time..... you might as well argue that 'we' should have dug up last year's thread on the subject and continued it rather than duplicate, why didn't YOU do that instead of picking up on an adoption thread?

I really didn't want to respond last night, and don't now, after that sheep/suicide comment the other night , I'd really rather avoid you altogether however interesting the 'topic' might be.

I hope you notice that there is or has been more than one poetry thread on here? more than one cookery thread, more than one gardening thread...they are all 'specific' topics, but one person might want to post their OWN slant on the topic without having to add it to an existing thread... I don't have the same take on programmes as other people maybe, why should I not add 'my own' thread?

I was the one that reported you John...how dare you say that !!!

Finished end of!!! and happy to see the post has gone.........

I cannot understand why someone would trawl through the boards to pick up a thread last posted on over 3 weeks ago :-S

How many pages did you have to go back to find it?

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 7 Aug 2013 13:30

Sorry I bumped Sue's thread up the boards for Hayley (she said she couldn't find the original )......so sue me :-S...."Much ado about nothing" as per :-(

jax

jax Report 7 Aug 2013 13:34

If that is a reply to me Mau?

I am talking about the adoption thread made by Louise, that had nothing to do with Long lost families...only that she mentioned watching it

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 7 Aug 2013 13:48

To no-one in particular Jax :-) ....just that someone was saying why was there many threads about same subject re : Long Lost Families? so stating why Sue's thread was up the board
(and I had deleted my comment to Hayley afterwards).....
